Gregory M. Yatooma focuses his practice on all aspects of private company transactions, closely-held company mergers and acquisitions, real estate acquisition and leasing transactions, as well as general corporate and limited liability company matters. Mr. Yatooma's experience has spanned a variety of industries including the automotive (both domestic and foreign), manufacturing, wholesale, retail, private equity, investment banking, media and non-profit sector.
Before joining Fleming, Yatooma & Borowicz, PC, Mr. Yatooma was an attorney with the international law firm of Foley & Lardner LLP, where he was a member of the firm's Transactional & Securities and International Practices. While at Foley, Mr. Yatooma worked on matters totaling well in excess of $1 billion dollars and traveled throughout the United States and Asia facilitating and closing various transactions for various clients.
Mr. Yatooma is a graduate of Taylor University (B.A.) and the University of Michigan Law School (J.D.).
Mr. Yatooma is also a successful business owner having founded and ran various wholesale and retail entities, all of which have either been sold or are currently in commerce today.
Mr. Yatooma was a contributing author to "A Roadmap to China's New M&A Regulations," Michigan International Lawyer (2007) and "Teenagers and the Law," DMBA Barristers (2008).
Early in his career, Mr. Yatooma was named to Crain's Detroit Business "Twenty in their 20's" list for 2007. The award focused on his accomplishments as an attorney, the success of his business endeavors and his founding and chairing a Michigan charity that raised nearly $1M for those less fortunate. Mr. Yatooma has also been highlighted in various business and media publications, including Crain's Detroit Business, Detroit Free Press, Oakland Press and multiple other media sources for his success as an attorney and local business owner, or his significant involvement in local charitable endeavors.
