Emily Fleming holds a paralegal certification from the University of Michigan. She assists the firms lawyers in all facets of the litigation process, from ensuring lawyers are prepared for hearings and trial to working with lawyers and clients to develop case strategy and conducting research.
Before becoming a paralegal, Emily blazed a trail as an advocate for children and families in general and at-risk families in particular. Emily founded community groups, provided translation services, and trained other professionals. Emily taught elementary (general) education and served as an assistant principal. Later, she transitioned to special education and taught students with various impairments. After eleven years, Emily has retired, yet maintains work as a consultant for parents in need of a representative to interface with schools and teachers.
Emily holds two Bachelors Degrees from Western Michigan University and a Masters Degree from Wayne State. She is also fluent in Spanish. Emily is married to Gavin and has two wonderful girls and two amazing stepsons.
